Almost every day, I pick up my camera and take a short stroll. It may be a simple walk around the block or exploring a different part of my neighborhood.
Something happens when I head out on those walks, with no other intention but to see what I can find to take photos of.
What happens is that I get drawn into the beauty of the world around me and am able to just be present in the experience.
Its just a little thing, a little wander, but over the past few years I have discovered that taking these photowalks not only fills up my creative well, but keeps it filled and it gives me space just for myself and the creative muse, outside of whatever else might be going on around me.
It’s just me, my camera, and beauty to be found.
Let me tell you a bit more about my story.
I adore photography and found it at a point when I had no clue where I was going in life.
I wanted to share with you a bit about my path, and how I found my way back through the lens of a camera and this video tells the story best:

In Rose Coloured Glasses, I’m inviting you to discover if photography can be a tool for greater awareness of the world around you and to bring positive energy into your daily life but not in a way that masks any rough patches or makes you fake any smiles.
It’s about taking space for yourself when you need it.
It’s about filling up your well and nourishing yourself through creativity.
It is about seeking out things that make you smile and seeing them with new eyes.
It is about creating a path through visual images, to guide you to where you need to go and to show you where you’ve been.
It is about seeing the beauty around you and that the act of doing that invites a shift within us.
I’m so excited to be offering this two week dose of inspiration. It is wide open to all levels of photo adventurers whether you are just discovering the wonder of looking through the lens or are needing a dose of inspiration! Any type of camera is totally welcome (even an iphone is perfect)!
Rose Coloured Glasses is a journey in which I give you some of my favourite photographic tricks and tools that I used in that journey back to myself, which at the core of them, are all about making space to see the world with wonder, no matter what else is going on.
You’ll also be invited to take part in the lovely community energy that happens when folks come together for creative adventures.
